Social Media Strategies

Social Media Strategy is about establishing objectives and goals. These social media goals should drive toward the overall business objectives.


I have voluntarily worked with Irish Influencer Aideen Kate Makeup since September 2015 in helping her build her online profile and have recently began my own online profile entitled She Took A Photograph.

My biggest achievement to date whilst working with Aideen Kate Makeup was when she was featured on the international makeup brand Anastasia Beverly Hills Instagram page twice (February 2017 & April 2017) which has over 13 million followers.

​

Between both features, Aideen's photos have reached a user engagement figure of almost 400,000

Promotions

This represents the hours of the day when Aideen Kate Makeup reaches the maximum followers and hits. This particular statistic was taken on Saturday - the peak day.


6pm until 9pm is the most popular time and this therefore should be taken into account when posting in order to reach maximum potential.

Engagement

This represents how much the client interacts with their followers. The higher the number of impressions, the more interactions one's followers are having with promotions. This can be seen through likes and comments on Instagram. 


This is important from a business point of view as an online influencer could have hundreds of thousands of followers however if engagement is not high then brands will not want to work with them as their product or service is not actually being reached to their target market.


Over a 7 day period, Aideen Kate Makeup reached over 721,000 impressions, an increase of over 68,000 from the previous week.

Follower Increase

The higher one's online followers are, the better chance of higher engagement therefore an increase in followers is vital in social media strategy.

Over a 7 day period Aideen Kate Makeup gained an almost 2000 followers to add to her over 49000 following.

Follower Insights

Other statistics available is information such as gender, age and location.​ This is important as brands the client will work with will have a target market. 

​

Aideen Kate Makeup's main followers are women from Dublin between the ages of 18 - 34. Therefore brands such as makeup, clothing and hair products would be suitable to promote on her Instagram as long as the product is available in (or available for delivery to) mainly Dublin.
